20" x 24" • Oil
The Battle of New Orleans was fought on January 8, 1815. The British army was stopped in Washington, VIrginia, from taking back the colonies. The second attempt by the Bristish army to succeed in this Royal effort was under the command of Major General Sir Edward Pakenham, but Brevet Major General Andrew Jackson, Commander of the United States army halted this notion by defeating the British army and sending them back to England.
